Elephant Vase | The Ardmore Collection | Fine Ceramic Art

Welcome to the magical wonderland of Ardmore ceramic art where . . .

E is for Elephant

The African elephant is the largest animal walking the Earth. Their herds wander through 37 countries in Africa.

Forest elephants, a distinct subspecies of African elephants, are uniquely adapted to the forest habitat of the Congo Basin, but are in sharp decline due to poaching for the international ivory trade.

'Why, what are those creatures, making honey down there? They can't be bees - nobody ever saw bees a mile off, you know --'. However, this was anything but a regular bee: in fact it was an elephant - as Alice soon found out, though the idea quite took her breath away at first. From Alice Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll.

This remarkable vase marches elephants up it's side, combined with stylized leaves and flowers. Beautifully hued in corals and blues, this one-of-a-kind vase is destined to become a family heirloom, passed down for generations to come.
